What is Genuine Bayer and why is it prescribed?
Genuine Bayer is an anti-inflammatory pain medication that is used to relieve headaches, toothaches, and minor aches and pains, and to reduce fever. Genuine Bayer also temporarily relieves the minor aches and pains of arthritis, muscle aches, colds, flu, and menstrual discomfort. In some patients, a small daily dose of Genuine Bayer may be used to ensure sufficient blood flow to the brain and prevent stroke. Genuine Bayer may also be taken to decrease recurrence of a heart attack or other heart problems. Genuine Bayer should not be used during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless specifically prescribed by a doctor. It may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery.

How should you take Genuine Bayer?
Follow your doctors directions for taking Genuine Bayer. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Do not use Genuine Bayer if it has a strong, vinegar-like odor. If Genuine Bayer upsets your stomach, use of a coated or buffered brand may reduce the problem. Do not chew or crush Genuine Bayer. To make them easier to swallow, take them with a full glass of water. If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never take two doses at the same time. Store Genuine Bayer at room temperature.

Are there any Genuine Bayer side effects?
Genuine Bayer side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Genuine Bayer side effects may include heartburn, nausea and/or vomiting, possible involvement in formation of stomach ulcers and bleeding, small amounts of blood in stool, stomach pain, and stomach upset.

What are the possible food and drug interactions when taking Genuine Bayer?
If Genuine Bayer is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. Be sure to inform your doctor of all the prescription and over the counter medications you are taking. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Genuine Bayer with Acetazolamide (Diamox), ACE-inhibitor-type blood pressure medications (such as Capoten), Anti-gout medications (such as Zyloprim), Arthritis medications (such as Motrin and Indocin), Blood thinners (such as Coumadin), Certain diuretics (such as Lasix), Diabetes medications (such as DiaBeta and Micronase), Diltiazem (Cardizem), Dipyridamole (Persantine), Insulin, Seizure medications (such as Depakene), or Steroids (such as prednisone).

Are there any special warnings about Genuine Bayer?
Genuine Bayer should not be given to children or teenagers for flu symptoms or chickenpox. Genuine Bayer has been associated with the development of Reye's syndrome, a dangerous disorder. If you have a continuous or high fever, or a severe or persistent sore throat, especially with a high fever, vomiting and nausea, consult your doctor. It could indicate a more serious illness. If pain persists for more than 10 days or if redness or swelling appears at the site of inflammation, consult your doctor immediately. If you experience ringing in the ears, hearing loss, upset stomach, or dizziness, consult your doctor before taking more Genuine Bayer. Check with your doctor before giving Genuine Bayer for arthritis or rheumatism to a child under 12.
