What is Natalins and why is it prescribed? Natalins contains vitamins and minerals including iron, calcium, zinc, and folic acid. Natalins is given during pregnancy and after childbirth to ensure an adequate supply of these critical nutrients. Natalins may also be prescribed to improve a woman's nutritional status before she becomes pregnant. Nutritional supplementation is especially important during pregnancy. Be sure to take Natalins regularly as prescribed. How should you take Natalins? Follow your doctors directions for taking Natalins. Natalins can be taken with or without food. Do not take more than the recommended dose. If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember, then return to your regular schedule. Store Natalins at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from excessive heat. Are there any Natalins side effects? Natalins side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. No side effects have been reported. What are the possible food and drug interactions when taking Natalins? If Natalins is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. Be sure to inform your doctor of all the prescription and over the counter medications you are taking. No interactions have been reported. Are there any special warnings about Natalins? Your doctor will test you for pernicious anemia before you take this drug, since folic acid can cover up the symptoms. If you have kidney stones, you need to limit your calcium intake. Your doctor should take this into account when prescribing a vitamin and mineral supplement. Keep Natalins out of children's reach. An overdose could be fatal. |
